Giardino Antico Aprile 2013

Due garden designer italiani ammessi al Chelsea Flower Show di Londra.

Una foresta incantata per la Regina

by Francesca Anichini

The 100 year anniversary of the Chelsea Flower Show will see the the joint debut of the Florentines Stefano Passerotti, gardener, and Anna Piussi, garden designer, with a small garden packed with ideas. In this interview Anna shares how she was drawn into the project, when already overwhelmed by teaching Garden History and raising 2-year old twins, by the colleague whose innovative garden she had taken her students to visit. It was a dream come true for Anna, whose passion for gardens was fostered by a decade of living in the UK, to the point of retraining to pursue a career in garden design. Stefano had a long experience with making gardens which include sound installations and bold contemporary planting. Sonic Pangea was a creative collaboration, starting with a model made in Lego bricks, plasticine and chopsticks, followed by a frantic race to submit everything to compete for admission. They bring their diverse background to this project and can only dream about resting in it later, much later.
